HTC announces dual-SIM Desire 501

NEW DELHI, INDIA: HTC has launched three new phones in three colours, brown, green and a blue check, under the model name Desire 501 which is a dual-SIM phone.

Priced at Rs 16,890. The phone comes with a 4-inch screen, 8GB storage, 1 GB RAM, 1.15 GHz dual-core processor and expandable memory up to 32 GB. The 501 has an 8-MP rear camera and a 2.1-MP front camera. However, the 501 runs an older version of HTC Sense (4+) user interface with Android 4.1.2

HTC also launched Desire 700 and 601 priced at Rs 33,050 and Rs 24,190, respectively. As per HTC's claims, the 700, weighing 149 grams, packs premium features in a cheaper package. Features of 700 include dual-SIM dual active and comes with a quadcore 1.2 GHz processor, 8 GB storage, 1 GB RAM, a 5-inch screen and up to 64 GB expandable memory.

The Desire 700 and 601 have HTC Sense 5, which has features such as BlinkFeed (social media and newsfeeds on the home screen) and Zoe (easier photo management). The cameras are 8-MP rear and 2.1-MP front.

The Desire 601 has a 4.5-inch screen but the two SIM cards are not active simultaneously. Like the 700, it has HTC Boomsound speakers, which according to the company, has great sound quality. It has 4 GB storage, 5-MP rear camera and a VGA front camera.
