The solution includes virtualized HP Networking solutions, HP Converged Storage, HP BladeSystem servers and HP Insight software with on-site installation services.

"We have done a whole set of work with VMware to evolve these solutions, then integrated and tested them," said Prakash Krishnamoorthy, country head, HP Storage Division India.

"With virtualization, the time to deploy and implement is generally too long. We have simplified the whole journey for our customers. They can also scale their virtualization deployments to provide a clear path to the cloud."

According to T Srinivasan, managing director of VMware India, companies need solutions that enable them to move from siloed stacks of infrastructure to pools of technology resources that can be shared and delivered as application services in real time.

He added that the savings on capital expenditure and the operational expenditure would be a lot, as the new solutions would cut costs at several levels.

As far as future upgrades to cloud-based services from virtualized environments were concerned, Krishnamoorthy said that the model they have adopted was not disruptive and was built-in as against the traditional bolt-on solutions.

"In addition, we offer HP Virtualization Smart Bundles to small and medium enterprises for predictable performance and to reduce complexity," he explained.

The VirtualSystem is built on HP Converged Infrastructure and is positioned to help clients accelerate virtual machine mobility by up to 40 per cent, while doubling throughput and reducing network recovery time by more than 500 times with the new HP FlexFabric virtualized networking solution.

Among other benefits, it would also cut capacity requirements by 50 per cent along with HP LeftHand and 3PAR Storage Systems.
