NEW DELHI: HP has introduced two new ProLiant servers- the four-processor HP ProLiant ML570 server with hot-add memory capability and engineered to support the next-generation Intel Xeon processor, code-named "Gallatin" and the HP ProLiant DL380, a new density-optimized dual-processor server.

In addition to this, HP continues to support today's Intel Xeon processors and would become the industry's first company to support Gallatin as part of its ongoing efforts to be first to market with new server technologies. Designed to take advantage of the larger cache next-generation Xeon MP processors, the ProLiant ML570 server provides customers with performance levels up to 80 percent faster than the current generation for database and backend applications.

The new ProLiant ML570 server is suited for supporting remote sites or data center computing needs. The new ProLiant DL380 server packs Intel Xeon performance, true lights-out management and enterprise-class uptime in a 2U design. The sleek, rack-optimized server allows customer to maximize floor space and offers leading redundant hot-plug features and performance.

Both new ProLiant servers offer enhanced management capabilities such as HP's lights-out technology.

HP also is upgrading the ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack with redesigned SmartStart 6.0 management software, providing an improved server configuration and deployment experience that significantly cuts the deployment time required to get a server up and running and keeps business-critical applications running at the highest levels.

For rapid deployment of multi-server environments, the optional ProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack also is available to create an automated, unattended deployment environment for their entire server infrastructure. The HP ProLiant DL380 server is available now starting at an Internet list price of Rs 3 Lakh.
