SEATTLE, USA: HP introduced new ProLiant G7 servers, featuring AMD Opteron 6200 series processors.
HP launched five new servers in its ProLiant x86 line-up: the HP ProLiant BL465c G7, HP ProLiant BL685c G7, HP ProLiant DL385 G7, HP ProLiant DL585 G7 and HP ProLiant DL165 G7.

HP claims, in a release, that the new product can improve data center efficiency, scalability and performance up to 30 per cent to support large-scale, virtualized and database workloads.
HP ProLiant G7 servers with AMD Opteron 6200 series processors use 2,048 cores per rack.
The new HP ProLiant G7 servers also include HP Integrated Lights-Out (iLO 3), a server management tool enabling remote monitoring. Moreover, the new servers offer HP Virtual Connect, enabling clients to connect servers and virtual machines to any network.

Pricing for the new series begins at $2,679 for the HP ProLiant BL465c G7, $9,559 for the HP ProLiant BL685c G7, $3,699 for the HP ProLiant DL385 G7, $6,309 for the HP ProLiant DL585 G7 and $1,559 for the HP ProLiant DL165 G7.
