HP launches Omen 15 and Omen 17 gaming laptops in India

HP has launched a new range of gaming laptops in India. The laptops titled Omen 15 and Omen 17 feature the latest "NVIDIA 10 Series GTX" graphics, high-resolution display with optional G-Sync technology and a single-access service panel to upgrade RAM and storage.

HP Omen 15 range starts from Rs 80,990, while the Omen 17 is available with a starting price of Rs 1,59,990. Every new Omen notebook comes bundled with the Omen gaming backpack worth Rs 5,040.

The HP Omen 15 will be available in five variants - CE070TX, CE071TX, CE072TX, CE073TX, and CE074TX. The gaming laptops feature the same design and 15.6-inch display, except for the resolution and specifications. The base model has a Full HD display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, whereas the Ultra HD display has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels in the top model.

In the specifications department, Omen 15 is powered by 2.5GHz 7th Gen Intel Core i5-7300HQ, along with 8GB RAM (up to 16GB DDR4), 1TB internal storage, and 2GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU with DirectX 12. The higher variant, on the other hand is equipped with 2.8 GHz 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7700HQ. It comes with 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB internal storage HDD, as well as 128GB NVMe TLC M.2 SSD, and 6GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 GPU.

Moving to the Omen 17, it comes in AN009TX and AN010TX variant. Both the laptops are powered by 2.8GHz 7th Gen Intel Core i7-7700HQ processors. The gaming laptops are backed by 16GB of DDR4 memory up to 32GB and storage of 256GB NVMe TLC SSD and 1TB HDD. Further, it features a 17.3-inch Full-HD backlit display with the resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. On the GPU front, the AN009TX is equipped with 8GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics, whereas the AN010TX has a 6GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060.

On the connectivity front, the laptops are equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, three USB 3.1 ports, one USB Type-C connector, an HDMI output, a headphone jack, an SDcard reader, a mini DisplayPort and an Ethernet port.

Apart from these gaming laptops, HP has also introduced Omen HP Mouse 600 which offers full range of DPI levels from 800-12,000 and a new optical sensor designed for eSports. The company also introduced HP Headset 800 with 53 mm driver and it has universal compatibility with 3.5mm-to-single 4 pole adapters.
