HP joins hands with Avnet Tech

BANGALORE, INDIA: HP India, a provider in IT products and services, today announced that they have entered into an agreement withAvnet Technology Solutions India, a provider in sales and marketing, for distribution of HP’s complete server and storage range.

Avnet Technology Solutions would focus on distributing HP’s server and storage solutions, including its industry standard servers, business critical servers and those from its StorageWorks Division.

The agreement with HP India would increase the reach and expertise of HP solutions in the India business partner community, said a press release.

Commenting on the partnership, Ashok Pamidi, director, Partner Engagement and Telesales, Technology Solutions Group, HP India, said, "We are very pleased to announce this partnership with Avnet for the distribution of our storage and servers business. Together with Avnet we will be able to provide a complete range of solutions to all our customers.”

He added that this is a part of HP's ongoing endeavor to provide the technologically best and most cost-efficient solutions to our customers across the country through their strong distribution network.

Avnet will leverage its comprehensive range of value-added services to deliver solutions that accelerate business growth.

For example, Avnet would utilize its demand creation, technical, sales, financial and logistical programs to support HP solutions and drive increased sales for the business partner community, said the release.

G Balakrishnan, managing director, Avnet Technology Solutions India, said, “Through our new partnership with HP India, we are creating a strategic engagement in the country that complements our existing alliance with HP in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.”

He further added that working with HP would allow them to offer state-of-the-art server and storage solutions to the India business partner community.
