HP expands commitment to enterprise storage

Hewlett-Packard recently launched new initiatives to

provide guaranteed stress-free storage for its enterprise customers.

The company unveiled the HP SureStore E brand of

enterprise-storage solutions to address the growing customer demand for utility-class

storage that provides deployment flexibility, around-the-clock uptime, massive scalability

and centralized management.

The new multiplatform HP SureStore E `Stress-Free' hardware

and software provides the foundation for the HP equation storage architecture and is

SAN-ready product line designed to support electronic services.

It also includes a new high-end disk array and business

software-HP SureStore E disk array MC 256 with 11 complimentary software products and a

storage area network (SAN) management software and fabric devices-the HP SureStore E

Storage Node Manager and HP SureStore E Switch F16.

It also includes complete range of disk and tape storage

hardware, management and monitoring software, SAN-fabric devices, storage-specific

consulting services and support.

HP's storage package includes five product sets-HP SureDesign, HP

SureSpan, HP SureSoft, HP SureGear and HP SureGuide.
