NEW DELHI: Hewlett Packard (HP) has announced its Microsoft Services
Operation (MSO) in India. The services and support agreement with Microsoft
would enable HP to provide organizations with an ability to deliver computing
environments. HP would also roll out its full range of services and products to
help Indian customers unleash the power of their investments in Microsoft
Technologies.
HP would help enterprises to plan, design, implement and maintain Microsoft
technologies across heterogeneous computing environments. The alliance between
Microsoft and HP would leverage the expertise and experience of the industry's
leading software technology supplier with the industry's major IT product,
services and support provider.
This alliance would also take the initiative to follow the model wherein the
Microsoft Datacenter Server operating system can be purchased pre-loaded with HP
hardware.
Window 2000 datacentre is designed to offer high-end mission critical
solutions and services to Indian enterprises.
HP Asia Pacific MSO general manager Ravi Srinivasan said, "Our team's
mission is to help customers unleash the power of Microsoft technologies
regardless of their hardware environments."
HP is a gold certified partner of Microsoft and this status enables it to
offer support and consulting services to customers using Microsoft technology.
The MSO target customers are organizations who are currently operating in the
Microsoft technology environment and those adopting it.
Asia Microsoft Services Development manager V Srinivasan said, "We are
confident that with HP’s vast experience of mission critical enterprise and
computing expertise can provide reliable end to end Microsoft technology
services for our customers."
He also said that Microsoft has this agreement with HP for all across Asia-
Pacific region, which includes nine countries of this region.
