CHENNAI, INDIA: The recent HR survey of NASSCOM highlights that specialized skills will be in high demand especially in the areas of Digital and Product Engineering.

HR practices will also get a digital makeover. The technology-enabled HR will also become a champion of the change and will build the workplace of the 21st century.

NASSCOM, at its 12th edition of HR Summit 2015 in Chennai shared the key findings of its HR Survey that was conducted amongst 100+ leading organisations.

  1. Digital + Product Engineering + Entrepreneurial skills emerge as the top skills in demand.
  2. Focus on building digital skills is the biggest opportunity and challenge for the industry. The industry currently has about 150,000 people focussed on these technologies and is looking to rapidly scale this up through multiple initiatives
  3. War for talent shifts from scale to skill and 58% of the respondents have stated that they are looking to hire more laterals this year.
