Hong Leong Bank has installed 35 ITS.Netrix in the front office of its HL Markets dealing room in Kuala Lumpur.

The bank plans to extend the use of BT's technology to link-up its Singapore and Hong Kong offices, giving it a virtual trading organisation with seamless communication and connectivity. Hong Leong Bank is one of the 10 anchor banks in Malaysia, key to supporting the country's economy in the retail, commercial and investment banking markets.

HL Markets is using ITS.Netrix with an eight-channel speaker module and integrated intercom for trading in FX, money markets, swaps and structured products.

ITS.Netrix provides full colour alerts and context sensitive supporting information. It has a highly intuitive interface to enable collaborative working with instant call recognition. This means users can immediately identify which client is calling as well as the status of the call. The multi-media collaboration device also includes integral speaker and intercom units, giving improved trading performance through outstanding audio quality.

BT has installed two ITS p31 telephony switches and its integrated ITS p31 platform recorder at Hong Leong Bank. They provide the bank with the same high functionality as BT's larger switches, at a much lower cost and are capable of supporting up to 64 users.

Hong Leong Bank is also using two services from the ITS Management Suite — ITSprofile and ITSmonitor. ITSprofile provides effective configuration and management of the ITS platform, from the trading floor and remotely, providing the bank with high levels of reliability. ITSmonitor provides high visibility for any issues that occur, dramatically speeding up investigation and resolution.
