HMD Global has announced a new smartphone, the Nokia 7 which is priced at CNY 2,499(Rs 24,600) for the base variant and CNY 2,699(Rs 26,500) for the higher variant. The mobile will be available for purchase on October 24 in China.

The Nokia 7 features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Also on offer is 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable via a microSD card.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 7 sports a 16-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, and a dual-tone LED flash. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture with 84-degree field-of-view for selfies and video calling. Like the Nokia 8, the Nokia 7 also features a “bothie camera”. This feature allows one to capture rear and front photos at the same time for a single image. Also, the smartphone comes with a Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD).

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and NFC. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. On the software front, the Nokia 7 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with a promised upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo. The availability in other markets has not been announced by the company as yet.
