Hitachi DS appoints Adrian De Luca as APAC CTO

BANGALORE, INDIA: Hitachi Data Systems Corporation (HDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd.,, today announced that it has appointed Adrian De Luca as Asia Pacific chief technology officer (CTO).

This is a newly created position that oversees the development of overall offerings for customers. De Luca will also represent HDS Asia Pacific in the new Global Office of Technology and Planning (Global OTP). The Global OTP has been formed by Hitachi and HDS to foster the creation and delivery of social innovation technologies.

In the new position, De Luca will be responsible for deepening HDS understanding of customer needs and business directions. Combining the insight of economic and technological trends, he will work closely with the team to develop solution offerings that are innovative and aligned to customer requirements.

De Luca will also join the Global Office of Technology and Planning which taps into the research and development talent of Hitachi and HDS to drive technology solutions for the advancement of a global community. Hitachi and HDS are actively working together on initiatives that span industries like healthcare, finance, energy, public safety and retail. De Luca will contribute his insight and knowledge, helping to turn Hitachi social innovation vision into reality.
