This partnership pairs DBI's database monitoring, tuning, and trending tools with HP's customer relationships to bring a truly powerful DB2 database support solution to the market.

Under this partnership, HP will offer DBI's tools as part of its managed services customer outsourcing agreements to accelerate value for HP clients and, for non-outsourced clients, HP will be a DBI authorized reseller.

Russ Harrison, DBA Manager for HP, commented "Working with DBI is a terrific fit for HP. The DBI tools for IBM DB2 LUW install quickly and easily, and our team members are able to achieve fantastic DB2 performance results for our clients very quickly. DBI's advanced analytics and smart workflows give us not only productivity gains, but also help us deliver great value for our clients." Mr. Harrison added "There are night and day differences between DBI tools and other tools in the market. We're excited to be partnering with an organization that is so highly respected in the DB2 community."

Scott Hayes, president & founder of DBI, an IBM DB2 GOLD Consultant and Information Management Champion, responded "Too often, many consultants and service providers are keen to work with scripts, free tools, or tools provided by the database vendor, thus essentially doing DB2 tuning by hand, without the best tools for the job, all the while billing clients for more hours and delivering sub-optimal results. I really admire HP's foresight, leadership, and integrity, and I'm excited about the great results that HP will be able to deliver to its worldwide clients."

DBI pureFeat was just recognized by Database Trends and Applications Magazine as a top 100 trending product for 2014.
