Here comes world's slimmest smartphone ‘Huawei Ascend P6'

BANGALORE, INDIA: Huawei, today launched its new smartphone, Huawei Ascend P6, aimed at Indian Market.

Priced at Rs 29,999 the new smartphone Ascend P6, is powered by company's in-built chipset and comes with Huawei K3V2 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

The company claims that the new smartphone is the slimmest in the category and measures 6.2mm, while weighing 120 grams.

Inspired by people, for device users worldwide, Huawei also gathered input from over 5 million consumers to optimize the latest version of Emotion UI.

Announcing the product, Victor Shanxin, president, Huawei Devices India said, "The Ascend P6 has already received a good response from global consumers over the last months."

"With Huawei's patented Emotion UI, The Ascend P6 embodies a cutting edge design for the fashion conscious and specially designed for those who love to share," added Shaxin.

With 2000mAh battery, 4.7-inch HD in-cell LCD screen technology, 8MP rear-facing BSI camera with F2.0 aperture and 4cm macro view, the Ascend P6 enables 1080P full HD video recording and playback.

Huawei further added that its unique Automated Discontinuous Reception (ADRX) and Quick Power Control (QPC) battery optimization and power saving technology improves performance by upto 30 per cent, compared with smartphone batteries of equal size.

Huawei's Ascend P6 has been awarded the "consumer smartphone of the year", 2013-2014 by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).
