BANGALORE: As the red card went up against

Zinedine Zidane

at the World Cup finals, not many have thought that the French captain's act

of aggression against Marco Materazzi would be a 'hit' in France.

Instead, it was a momentary numbness before soccer fans felt the pangs as they
watched Zidane retiring from international football with bowed head. France lost

to Italy in the penalty shootout, as its penalty specialist sat alone in the

dressing room, his heart weighed down by surging emotions.

Hardly a month later, the Zidane act is now rocking France. His red-seeing
head-butt in the World Cup final has inspired a chart-topping song in France.

The reggaeish song posted on the Internet, as a joke, goes, “Zidane a frappe, la

Coupe on l'a ratee (Zidane struck, we blew the cup).”

The song is called,

'Head-Butt.'

The latest hit song in France is cited as another example to illustrate that the
Internet is where the future of music lies.

Reports said the song has become an instant hit with it being played everywhere
in France. It is being downloaded in the thousands from the Internet.

The popularity of the song, reportedly composed in 30 minutes, was well noticed.
Warner Music France has bought the song from composers Franck Lascombes,

Sebastian Lipszyc and Emmanuel Lipszyc. They claimed the song was composed out

of depression that hit France following Zidane's head-butt on Materazzi.

The composers sent the song to friends over the Internet. Three hours later,
they were surprised to hear the song being played on Skyrock, a leading French

radio network.
