HDFC, TCS bag Visionary awards

BANGALORE, INDIA: HDFC Bank, Reliance Communications, National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Ltd (NCDEX) and Tata Consultancy Services have bagged 2007 Asia South Visionary awards.

Symantec today announced the award winners at Vision, Mumbai, Symantec's annual user conference, held in the United States and select cities across the globe. The Visionary awards recognize IT leaders for their innovative use of Symantec solutions to protect their infrastructure and information.

“As the global economy continues to expand and interactions become increasingly interconnected, companies must take the right measures to minimize their exposure to risk and increase IT efficiency,” said Enrique Salem, group president, Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Symantec Corporation. “This year’s Visionary award winners have demonstrated their success leveraging Symantec technology to protect their most vital corporate assets.”

CN Ram, head of IT, HDFC, Shailesh B. Patni, vice president, technology for NCDEX, Dr Sumit D. Chowdhury, CIO of Reliance Communications, and Alok Kumar, CIO and vice president of TCS bagged the Visionary award.
