HCL gets $15 mn IT deal from Fortis

BANGALORE, INDIA: IT major HCL Infosystems has bagged $15 million outsourcing deal from hospital chain Fortis Healthcare. As CIOL had reported earlier, the duration of the deal is five years, which entails implementing software solutions at all Fortis' facilities.

“The total size of the deal would be more than USD 15 million and actual cost depends upon the number of facilities the group acquires,” a PTI report quoted Fortis Healthcare vice-president - Corporate affair G S Bedi, as saying.

Under the agreement, HCL will install an IT system to standardize the IT platform for all the hospitals in Fortis network within a year's period. The first hospital will go live by the end of February 2010. HCL would would also impart training to its employee, the report said.
