HCL’s XpressMigrate suite consists of three offerings, which include Remote Desktop Deployment Solution, Application Compatibility Factory Service (ACFS) and Application Packaging Service (APFS), all the three for Windows 7, said a press release.

Remote Desktop Deployment offers centralized deployment of the operating system and packaged applications which automate the deployment process for extremely low manual intervention. It also provides assurance against loss of data through a robust user state backup and restoration process for user data and settings. HCL has also developed a Deployment Dashboard at the core of this solution which will provide both an overall as well as in-depth status report for all deployments. This dashboard gives visibility on milestones like number of deployments completed, failed deployments and status of opened tickets, status view of current active deployments, time taken for deployments, and upcoming schedule for deployments.

The ACFS and APFS offerings provide application compatibility, packaging and re-imaging solutions that offer an accelerated Windows 7 deployment based on Microsoft Best Practices using HCL’s tried and tested migration approach, the release said.
