HCL to offer hybrid services on IBM cloud

BANGALORE, INDIA: IBM and HCL Technologies (HCL) announced a strategic partnership to jointly build hybrid cloud services to help enterprises drive their digital transformation.

HCL will use Bluemix and SoftLayer IBM’s cloud platforms to build applications and solutions in unified service management (USM) and Internet of Things (IoT).

HCL offers end-to-end cloud lifecycle management and orchestration platform to enterprises through HCL MyCloud to manage and control their hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Leveraging the HCL MyCloud and DryICE automation and orchestration platforms, HCL plans to offer highly scalable cloud environments, including IaaS solutions in dedicated, as well as shared models, for enterprise customers.

“By combining IBM’s Bluemix and Softlayer platforms with HCL’s unique MyCloud orchestration platform and global system integration expertise we will be able to transform businesses through user-centric applications on Bluemix which will enable enhanced customer engagement delivering efficiencies and tangible business outcomes,” said Kalyan Kumar, Senior Vice President and Chief Technologist – ITO, HCL Technologies.
