The university will set up a Centre for Entrepreneurship (CoE) to facilitate research and resources in India. As part of the partnership, the university will offer BBA and MBA programs, apart from a one-year MS in entrepreneurship.
The programs will commence in 2013 and the admission procedure and fee structure would soon be made available on the university webportal.
“There are entrepreneurs around the world who want to come to India to start new businesses. At the CoE, we will help small business to grow,” said Nikhil Sinha, vice chancellor, SNU. “The courses will be offered to small business owners, working executives and freshers.”
Babson College provost Shahid Ansari said the college will offer expertise in curriculum design and students exchange, and will facilitate knowledge transfer to SNU. “Our focus in India is job creation.”
The key elements of this relationship include entrepreneurship ecosystem and specialized programs to fuel the small businesses growth. As a part of the CoE, the university will also help students avail venture capital funds.
