HCL Learning ties up with Annamalai University

MUMBAI, INDIA: HCL Learning, an education and talent development division of HCL Infosystems Ltd., on Monday announced its alliance with Annamalai University of Tamil Nadu.

As part of the alliance, HCL Learning will be launching the MBA-IMS Program (Infrastructure Management & Security) via distance learning mode, said a press release. The duration of the program is for two years.

Annamalai University is among the oldest universities of India offering a huge portfolio of distance learning programs. The MBA-IMS Program is the first program to be launched jointly under its alliance with HCL Learning.

The distance learning mode of education provides opportunities for career development for individuals who are unable to attend regular classes for various reasons.

Since lately, there has been an increasing demand for distance learning programmes. Such courses has been a boon for working professionals looking to enhance their professional skills and qualification without disrupting their employment.

Anand Ekambaram, vice president, HCL Learning said, “The Indian corporate sector requires quality management resources especially in niche fields like IT infrastructure and security management. We are pleased to enter the space of management education and also to have commenced our relationship with Annamalai University.”

The Master of Business Administration (Infrastructure Management & Security) degree program of the Directorate of Distance Education of the Annamalai University will equip students and practicing executives and managers working in private or public sector undertakings, banks educational institutions and other similar organizations.

The programme will enable course takers to enrich their managerial skills, decision­ making skills, and to enhance their problem solving ability through case studies, lectures, role-plays and business games with special focus on IMS.
