HCL introduces `designed in India' desktop

NEW DELHI: HCL has introduced a range of 'Designed in India' desktop computers designed by the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. The new range of desktops has been designed keeping in view changing lifestyles, future trends & specific customer needs & preferences.

Extensive research work has been undertaken to customise the product to achieve maximum ergonomics, to create a smart and humanised design for effective usage.

“The underlying demand and requirements from PCs is rapidly changing. The convergence of computing and communications, new technology and applications are driving new usage models.” said George Paul, Executive VP of Marketing at HCL.

“Keeping in view the evolving trends and changing needs of Indian customers, we engaged NID to develop a redefined and improved design of a high performance and responsive desktop computer.”

NID conducted a comprehensive survey with over 200 enterprises across various industry segments to examine some of the major influences driving changes in the PC market. Through this survey NID sought direct feedback from Indian customers on factors such as user environment, buyers psyche, health factors, experience & trends before designing this desktop computer.
