The rest have adopted technology to optimize the process, with online platforms like HackerRank being used widely, companies now have the liberty to recruit coding gems from remote colleges as well, which a company may have rejected due to logistics constraints."

"We have  a million registered programmers today, the highest being from USA and India.  Through 33 programming languages we asses the programmers today. We are bringing in more enhancements and introducing more verticals," said Sriram, head of product, HackerRank.

"We are right now expanding in Delhi and Mumbai and will also double our hiring in Bangalore this year. Currently we are a team of 120 but this this year will be a major boom," he added.
