Greenplum ties up with Hexaware

MUMBAI, INDIA: Greenplum, a provider of database software for data warehousing and large scale analytic processing has partnered with Hexaware Technologies. In this global partnership, Greenplum will provide the database platform, and Hexaware will enable the migration, implementation, upgrades and maintenance services on these platforms.

As per a release, increasingly, due to the proliferation of multiple channels, the volume of data is on a rise and this has led to data explosion. Corporates are sensing the urgency to analyze data and there is an ever growing demand to manage data and convert it into useful information, thus enabling the need to migrate to intelligent analytical platforms. Greenplum Database is based on a massive parallel processing (MPP) architecture designed to support next generation data warehousing and large scale analytical processing. It scales from terabytes to petabytes of data on a very cost competitive platform, thus helping companies gain insight and competitive advantage from their data.

Hexaware’s role comes in view of Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI & A) which has been a strong focus area for Hexaware. This association, as the release said, will enable the two companies not only to provide a powerful data warehouse database platform, but also to address the end-to-end implementation of the data warehouse, migration, maintenance and support for customers. This solution is touted to be game-changing in the BI & A space and will benefit customers with high data and analytics-intensive applications, in industries including Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) and Travel, Transportation, Hospitality and Logistics (TTHL).
