He was speaking at a function, where AMD honoured the Grandmaster by gifting him a gaming computer, powered by quad-core Phenom processor and 1 Tera flop ATi Radeon 4870*2 graphics card.

Deepanshu Sharma, general manager, marketing and strategy, AMD India, said: "In the game of chess, every move is associated with multiple options. So, it is very important to take the right decision after considering all the options. We at AMD believe that making such informed decisions is important while purchasing PCs as well."

Anand added: "There are several similarities between me and AMD. We face challenges and market strategies in a similar way. We have a similar take for speed. We are expected to be reliable even under pressure and we never compromise on performance. I want to be loaded with ideas and at times I find it very difficult to do multitasking with other brands as they get technical snags. Whereas, at the same AMD is very cool and quiet to work with and gives a smooth working experience while multitasking too."

Ramkumar Subramanian, vice president, sales and marketing, AMD India, noted: "We believe that AMD's association with Anand has helped us to communicate the message of making informed decisions."
