Govt Dental unit goes live on portal

CHICAGO: Healthation, a provider of payer administration systems, announced that DentaQuest, an administrator of government dental programs, including Medicaid, CHIP and Medicare, group and individual, has gone live for many of its lines of business on the Healthation AboveHealth portal.

The new web portal capabilities include a range of benefit, claim, authorization and customer service queries and transactions for members, employers and providers. The site is already processing between 10,000 to 13,000 transactions daily from more than 13,000 provider office users.DentaQuest is committed to delivering the highest standards for customer care and provider support and to managing dental health costs by operating as efficiently as possible,” said Steve Pollock, DentaQuest’s Chief Operating Officer.

“The new AboveHealth web portal is a major example of how we are using technology and the Web to better serve all of our constituencies while gaining administrative efficiencies.”Using the AboveHealth portal, we are now able to offer our employers and providers the ability to securely access information and transactions from our eligibility, enrollment, claims and financial systems from a single, easy-to-use, web interface,” said Ken Erdelt, DentaQuest Senior Vice President of Information Technology. “Since our go-live in July, we have seen excellent performance from the system and plan to expand into new functionality and constituencies going forward.”

Next steps for the DentaQuest portal include plans to offer a wider range of real-time transactions. The portal will also be extended to support DentaQuest’s commercial lines of business which will open the site to more than two million additional members.
