Govt to amend Indian Telegraph Act

NEW DELHI: The cabinet has approved to bring an ordinance to amend Indian Telegraph Act, to bring mobile services in rural areas under the Universal Service Obligation (USO) fund.

The ordinance will be submitted to the President for his assent. The decision on the amendment was taken today at a meeting of the Union Cabinet.
