Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Rajeev Shukla said in the Lok Sabha: "Complaints of a large number of Aadhaar letters not delivered from post offices have been received."

He said the government had taken various measures and also instructed all the postal circles in the country to ensure their "smooth and timely delivery".

The minister also admitted to problems because the Aadhaar portal had earlier a capacity constraint.

"The capacity was enhanced, which took some time," he said. "Technological enhancement has now been put in place to enable it to function properly."
