''When we took the Samsung model (Galaxy Nexus) out of its box this time last year, we thought it was nice. When we took the Nexus 4 out of its box last week, we thought it was beautiful,'' says a review of the smartphone on techradar. However, almost a month after its release, let us take a look at some of the pros and cons associated with the smartphone.

Pros: (1) Pricing of the LG Nexus 4 in the United States via Google Play had been set at $299 for the 8 GB model, and $349 for the 16 GB model, which is half as much as an unlocked iPhone 5 (2) The design of the smartphone is very appealing and beautiful according to reviews (3) One of the first devices to work on the latest Android operating system, Android 4.2 (4) The screen of the smartphone is being touted to be ''excellent''.

Cons: (1) Lack of availability is the biggest disadvantage the Nexus smartphone faces right now and has irked consumers waiting eagerly for it (2) The lack of a usable LTE radio has garnered some criticism. The LG Nexus 4's LTE radio is not activated and only uses HSPA+ with a theoretical peak speed of 42 Mbps, compared to the 100 Mbps that can theoretically be achieved with LTE (3) Users have also complained of a constant buzzing in the earpiece of the LG Nexus 4. ''When listening to earpiece, one can hear buzzing and clicking,'' says a consumer complaint, who echoes the views of several others. ''I have this issue too. Have asked for a replacement. The noise is apparent whether the screen is on or off. Very disconcerting,'' says another (4) A user has also complained that the battery of the LG Nexus 4 drains out fast. ''The battery runs out fast,'' says the complaint. These reports can be found on Issue 39936 on Google's website.

Some of the other features of the LG Nexus 4 are 4.7 inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 8MP main camera and 1.3MP front camera, 2GB RAM, and so on. However, after going through the pros and cons, would you wait for the LG Nexus 4? Or would you go for another smartphone? Do let us know.
