However, there is no word from LG or Google on the India launch date of LG Nexus 4. Also, according to a report on IBN Live, the delay in launch is because Google and LG are debating over the price tag of the smartphone in India.

''They have not yet come to terms on whether to opt for the same price model at which Google introduced the phone in the US, or let LG determine the price of the new phone for the Indian market,'' says the report quoting a source.

Moreover, an online retail website called Saholic.com was earlier displaying a message saying ''LG Nexus 4 will be available by January 15, 2013''. The website, however, now says the smartphone is ''coming soon''.

Some of the features of the LG Nexus 4 are 4.7 inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 8MP main camera and 1.3MP front camera, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 2GB RAM, and so on.

Some consumers are irked by the unavailibility of the smartphone in India. ''If they do not release in India along with its release in other countries, then they should not be allowed to sell in India later,'' says a CIOL viewer.
