Google intros AdSense for mobile apps

BANGALORE, INDIA: Mobile advertising is slowly but steadily gaining its own popularity, and  Google is trying to make the right moves to take the opportunity.

The search giant announced on Wednesday that it has launched a beta version of AdSense for Mobile Applications, a platform that allows developers of Android and iPhone applications to display advertising from Google into their apps and earn money.

A blog at the official Google website said, “AdSense for Mobile Applications allows developers to earn revenue by displaying text and image ads in their iPhone and Android applications.”

“After all, advertisers are looking for ways to reach potential customers when they are engaged with mobile content, and application developers are looking for ways to show the best ads to their users,” added the blog.

Google, for the beta launch has created a website for developers to sign up and get more information about this new program.

The company also said that it looks forward to offer more new features for their  mobile advertisers and publishers in upcoming releases.
