The U.S. Internet search company has released a software on Wednesday that allows users of mobile phones and other wireless devices to automatically share their whereabouts with family and friends.

Using your Google account, you can opt into the feature, and then invite friends and family to join Google Latitude, said a press release. While it won't pinpoint your exact location, it gives you a good idea of where your friends are at a given time, it said.

As per a media report, users in 27 countries will be able to broadcast their location to others constantly, using Google Latitude.

Using your Google account, you can opt into the feature, and then invite friends and family to join Google Latitude. Once they accept, you will see their profile picture appear on a map through your mobile device, the release added.
