Google eyes India, China for Android

BANGALORE, INDIA:  Google’s Android has shown great potential within short span and is seen as a tiff competitor for Apple, Nokia and Blackberry.

To further gain its momentum, Google is planning to strategically place the open source operating system in the markets of India and China.

According to a quote given by Andy Rubin, vice-president of engineering at Google to Business week, Google may offer tools that help programmers in these emerging markets sell subscriptions, virtual goods, and other items from within applications on mobile phones.

It would also put the OS in cheap phone device by LG and Huawei.

Android is a first complete open source and free mobile platform, which runs at runtime using core libraries and Dalvik Virtual Machine
