After introducing WebVR experience to only Daydream-ready phones in February, Google is expanding the availability of VR to Google Cardboard, along with a brand new platform for all of its online VR web content.

Google has launched a new platform dubbed 'Web VR Experiments', a home to all of the virtual reality content Google has made available for its users up until now.

In a blog post, Google said they wanted a place to highlight these demos to “make it easier for more people to experience VR, and inspire more developers to create new VR worlds on the web.”

To use this service, simply insert your phone into a headset and go to a web address. The site currently hosts 12 demos that include VR ping-pong, basic games, 360-video applications and an interactive version of the song, 'Under Neon Lights' by music artists Chemical Brothers and St. Vincent.

Right now, all the demos are free to use, and developers can also access the code for each one via Github.

Also, by adding Cardboard support, Google has massively expanded the reach of the WebVR platform given that over 10 million Cardboard headsets are out in the wild.

Notably, users can also enjoy WebVR experiences without Daydream or Cardboard, “If you don’t have Cardboard or Daydream, you can still play on desktop or on any phone in 2D. WebVR support on Chrome for desktop headsets like Oculus Rift and HTC VIVE is coming soon,” added Google.

Google is expected to add more features to WebVR Experience shortly. Until then, you can submit your own work by filling out a form on the website.
