By going to chrome://flags on a Chromebook, users can set up the feature. Go into the Settings app and configure the feature in the Screen lock section.

According to the Chrome Story report, the feature is available in the newest Chrome OS Canary build, as an 'experimental flag'.

The latest update comes a few months after Google started letting people unlock Chromebooks using a PIN number. With Quick Unlock, Google might become the first company to provide biometric scanners.
