HYDERABAD: With a keen eye on the emerging global markets, Goldstone
Technologies - a Hyderabad-based software development firm - has formed joint
ventures in Europe as well as Tokyo in Asia. "We are looking to expand our
operations to Europe because of its huge market," said Goldstone
Technologies chief executive officer P K Balakrishnan.
While the Tokyo venture is going to focus on three main areas - business
intelligence & data mining, application enterprise development and
developing B2B solutions for e-commerce - the venture in Europe will focus on
developing legacy systems for its global clients.
Both the joint ventures are expected to be in place within six months.
"Korea is a big market and we hope to tie up with a major firm to further
expand our project there," he explained. He, however, declined to name the
firm stating that they were still in the process of negotiations with the firm’s
representatives.
Goldstone has also signed an agreement with the Allahabad Bank for branch
automation using Bankmate, a software developed for the banking sector.
"During the first phase of the operations, we are going to automate 30
branches, the rest will be done in a phased manner," said Balakrishnan.
