GoldenGate, Teradata strengthens partnership

MUMBAI: GoldenGate Software Inc, provider of real-time data integration solutions, and Teradata Corporation today announced continued partnership momentum, with a growing number of customers deploying technology that enables active data warehousing.

Enterprise users demand access to real-time data in order to reference the most up-to-date, accurate information about the business and enable fast, accurate decision-making. GoldenGate provides the technology capabilities for the capture and delivery of real-time business data into the Teradata Warehouse, thus eliminating batch processing, Teradata said in a statement.

A number of customers across industry verticals such as banking, retail, media and telecommunications are deploying GoldenGate in their Teradata warehouse environment. These include DIRECTV, Meredith Corporation, Sabre Holdings and Overstock.com.

GoldenGate has further enhanced its technology to support Teradata 12, which was launched this week. GoldenGate has the capability to capture data from the broadest range of databases and delivers it to Teradata 12 where the data can be transformed and processed.

The strategic partnership between GoldenGate and Teradata began with joint development on an optimized "GoldenGate for Teradata" solution, an integral element of the Teradata Warehouse offering.

The organizations continue to collaborate on joint development efforts to enhance product capabilities for active data warehousing. Additionally, the partnership encompasses joint sales and marketing efforts around the world.
