Releasing the Urdu e-version of Rozgar Samachar or Employment News at an event here, Tewari said the site is visited by lakhs of people.

"It bears testimony to the need for creating more jobs and employment," Tewary said and suggested that the ministry could add a few pages of "any major facet of news" related to development, national and international affairs.

This, Tewari emphasized, would help people become "cognizant" with events related to the job opportunities and also make the Employment News richer in content.

He said the Urdu version of the journal was an example of a true democracy where the rights of the minority are given equal attention to. He suggested that efforts should be made to make Rozgar Samachar available in other languages too.

The information and broadcasting minister also released 'India-2013' and 'Bharat-2013', a reference annual which provides exhaustive data about the activities, progress and achievements of various ministries and departments during the year since 1957.

Praising the efforts of the Publications Division in coming out with the information manual, Tewari said he was "pleasantly surprised" after he took over in October last year to learn that the department was "revenue surplus" due to sale of the manual.

He expressed hope that the department would earn more revenue.

Neelam Kapoor, principal director general, Press Information Bureau, said the work of the Publications Division was being put up on an e-platform to reach out to many people.
