GMT posts net of $21.02 mn for 2009

BANGALORE: Global Mixed-mode Technology (GMT), the vendor of analog IC, has said it earned net profits amounting to NT$674 million (US $21.02 million) for 2009 – representing an EPS of NT$7.86.

The company’s revenues for 2009 went up by 23.36 per cent on year to a record NT$4.1 billion, Global Mixed-mode Technology said in a press release.

Global Mixed-mode Technology said it expects its revenues in the first quarter of 2010 to achieve a sequential increase thanks to panel-makers and notebook-makers continuing adding orders. However, the company admitted that it is uncertain about the range of growth.

According to market-watchers, the first-quarter revenues of Global Mixed-mode Technology will grow by 5%-15% to reach NT$1.1-1.2 billion.

Global Mixed-mode Technology said in the press release that the of analog ICs will not decline much as supply stays tight, adding that it expects its gross margin of the first quarter to reach 34 per cent.
