MUMBAI: Indian telecommunications, engineering and software services firm
Global Tele-Systems will tie up with Oracle India to get into the application
service provider (ASP) business, a source close to the deal said on Wednesday.
Oracle India is a unit of Oracle Corp., the world's second biggest software
maker. The applications to be offered on this service will be the Oracle
enterprise resource planning packages. The company will develop a fee structure
that will be based on usage, the source said.
Shares of Global were Rs 2.25 lower at Rs 1,327 on the Bombay Stock Exchange
in early deals on Wednesday.
