Global Healthcare to deploy SAP ERP

BANGALORE, INDIA: SAP announced that Global Healthcare Pvt.Ltd (Medicity), a medical venture launched by leading cardiac surgeon Dr. Naresh Trehan, had selected SAP ERP ECC 6.0 application as the standard technology platform to achieve holistic healthcare and medical expertise in India.

Medicity early on, recognized technology as a vital differentiator in achieving its clinical and business objectives through integration and optimization of its back office operations.

Medicity which promises to usher in a new era of medicine is clinically modelled after global centres of excellence such as the John Hopkins and Mayo Clinic of the US. With an investment of $350-million spread over 43 acres in Gurgaon, it plans to integrate 20 super specialties and alternative medicine therapies like cardiology, neurosciences, oncology, and high-end orthopedics among others. 

As the project continues to expand its infrastructure to include  its super specialty facilities, research laboratories, education, residential facilities and attendant accommodation facilities, SAP driven technology would be integral in providing a common information platform.

With SAP deployment, Medicity will be able to harmonise operational processes for optimised performance and management. Further on, enabling Medicity to focus its resources strategically and enhance service levels towards patients care. SAP implementation for Medicity at Gurgaon is a Greenfield project.
