Glide OS 3.0 -- Mobile Desktop soln

CARLSBAD, USA: TransMedia has launched the all-new Glide OS 3.0 universal computing platform at the D Conference hosted by Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher.

Glide is the complete mobile desktop solution featuring more than 20 advanced productivity and collaboration applications with both offline and online access. Glide runs on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris, Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Palm, Symbian and Windows Mobile -- and supports over 75 mobile devices. Glide is available in 18 languages including English, Albanian, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Turkish.

Glide Web applications use a combination D/HTML, AJAX and Adobe Flash. Mobile and embedded devices can also access the Glide OS via HTML, XHTML and WAP and CHTML web browsers. Glide OS native applications on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Solaris and mobile and embedded devices use a common C++ code base. Native applications communicate and synchronize with the online Glide OS via Web services.
