GHMC bags 'Janaagraha G2C' award

HYDERABAD, INDIA: The ‘Janaagraha G2C' whose jury chairman is Sam Pitroda, PM's advisor on technology and innovations, has declared Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) as its winner.

The GHMC has been adjudged for providing best services to citizens through online among all civic bodies in the country. The Chennai Municipal Corporation has been adjudged as the second best for its services.

Ashok Reddy, Additional Commissioner (Finance & IT), received the award from Urban Development Minister, Kamal Nath in New Delhi. The GHMC was judged the best in the online grievance redressal, issue of birth and death certificates online, online payments, trade licenses, providing information to the citizens and for 1.5 lakh people accessing the site.
