New Update

BANGALORE, INDIA: “The race is long, but in the end, it’s only with yourself.” Incarnating these pearls of wisdom is a habit at CIOL. We follow it rigorously, but in action. For us every coup is setting of a new benchmark, raising a new bar and a new threshold to surpass the next time.

If CIOL’s events are any glimpse to go by, this year’s Enterprise Connect series and Enterprise Optimization series only reconfirm the steadfast flavor of our success. It was a great experience creating a radical amalgam of CIOs and industry experts, tracking all the hot issues and trends in all their depth and breadth with EC and EOS-II.

But that doesn’t mean we rest here. CIOL team is already on the treadmill to bring together another benchmark. This time a virtual event.

And the theme is – “Enterprise Next: Challenges and Priorities”

If the word ‘virtual’ dupes you into too snappy an impression, well that's only the flavour of the stage. There will be some real-time action that will play out there on Oct 28 and 29, 2009.

Topics like “The World is flat: The loop of challenges and opportunities it keeps creating” or “Enterprise 2.0: Myth or Magic” will whip up another potpourri of ideas and actionable debate.

From juggling with the tricks of ‘Portfolio Management on IT eggs and the many baskets” to drilling down “The CIO and the human factor”; it would be an event enveloping the IT firmament in all its variety.

Because the world and economic stratosphere we have bequeathed from the last year, is nothing similar to what 'was'.

What's 'about to come' will be the real encounter - ultimate, singular and tough.

Year 2010 and forward will winnow out the boys from the men.

And this series is an attempt to make sure that the IT captains of 'tomorrow' walk forth with all the aplomb and armour they need.

The pyre of slowdown has smoked a lot, burnt a lot. Be it new plans, impending projects, current IT pipeline, incremental investments, bold ideas, trying new technologies, operational output, profitability and thus in turn, market stronghold for many.

CIOs have endured the worst in the past that is still brushing by. They have witnessed tanking stock markets, wielded shrinking business pending, and have been made to stand on the tight rope of the pressure to perform.

And if that was enough, there have been multiple demands from all directions - pressure to adopt new technologies, the prerogative of operational enhancements, making sure to catch up well on digitization and automation, managing the IT wallet well while capitalizing on new technologies, balancing risk mitigation with business alignment, or process efficiency with demystifying complexity.

There is the challenge of IT optimization, there is the task of reevaluating investments, there is the job of putting right a new IT pecking order and all this while, also make sure that the enterprise is up on cadence with the latest on technology.

Today, the CIO cannot afford to lose to leverage something before competition does. He cannot snooze while the world and its economic and IT terrains are waking up to a new emerging climate.

And that's why, we have put on flame this new cauldron in October, where we would stew some real meat about all the real issues that confront the IT decision-makers today, and tomorrow.

The event will have virtual chats, workshops, panel tete-a-tete, apart from special expert sessions and talks.

The spectrum is vast as always - Cloud Computing, Future Workplace, Security, BI, RIM, Unified Communication, and more.

What more, it's not just a buffet, but as much a pot-luck dinner where you too can bring in your own unique arguments, challenges, doubts and dimensions to the table.

In short, one can find IT dissected like never before for the future platter here.

It's been long spending and rusting your time at other conferences.

Be geared up hence to witness something radical next, at VPE.

Enterprise Next!

See you there.
