Get home-delivery of God's Prasad with e-com portal Holybasket

GURGAON, INDIA: A new e-commerce portal Holybasket has been launched to help devotees get home delivery of blessings and prasad from temples across India.

The idea behind the portal is to bring the worshipping experience online. At present the portal has tied up with 21 temples across India and will provide prasad and auspicious photographs online. In future, the company plans to bring entire divine experience of worshiping online. For instance, the portal is also going to add few offerings like Rudraksh, Pooja kits, Idols, Shaligram, Thakurji clothes, etc, told Pawan Goenka, founder of Holybasket.

"India is a faith driven society and we Indians love our Gods. Our aim is to recreate that divine experience online. Every year thousands of devotees visit temples of their faith, however, there are many who are not able to visit them. With our portal, they can have blessings in form of prasad and other religious offerings,” he said.

He also told that the company will introduce offerings through the portal stage-wise. The site can also be accessed through smartphones. The company is also planning to roll out series of mobile apps surrounding various religious offerings.
