"It all started with the perception to change online search experience in to more user perspective, intent and open. Glue is completely built around open concept,” said Gopal Krishna, head of audience, Yahoo! India.

Glue saves time and helps eliminate guesswork involved in clicking on multiple web links. Beta is ideal for topics with broad coverage across a variety of information source. But it will be initially only available across categories like sports, entertainment, travel, technology and finance.

"For its very strong search relevance, content mass and a large group of engaged expert developers, India is indeed a huge market for Yahoo! With the focus on providing a compelling and intuitive online search experience for users in India, Glue will solve user needs in a visually compelling way in the right intent, said Tapan Bhat, senior vice president, Yahoo front doors and network services.

"Yahoo! India will slowly explore ways to supplement algorithmically generated pages with topical pages built and maintained by local subject-matter developing experts," Bhatt added.
