PUNE: GemStone Systems, Inc., a US-based infrastructure software company, is set for product bundles in various areas.

Rajendra Kulkarni, COO of GemStone Systems, said that after the co-branded Intel initiative, the company would be looking at new launches.

“We are working on platform components for grid vendors, Roguewave in the area of C++ integration and Data Synaps for the same. We are providing object-oriented querying with OQL so far but will soon step in the area of SDO (Service Data Objects) and much tighter integration with JCA adoption. The next wave would be scaling and moving on the 64-bit space as a combination of a large number of machines come together virtually,” he said.

The company has financial and capital markets as its vertical focus across London, New York and Tokyo. It would also be looking at the Indian government and areas like Web 2.0, portals, Telcos, RFID as potential business turfs.

“Wherever tremendous amount of information is a concern and time is critical, we have solutions,” said Rajendra Vaidya, director of the Indian development center. Gemstone has clocked a 20 per cent growth of which major thrust has come from new product lines, he added. Gemstone would also be open to consolidation opportunities like strategic partnerships or M&A.

“Any company delivering to a client or creating incubation center would be in the consideration set. Everything, however, depends on opportune timing.” Kulkarni clarified.
