BOSTON, USA: General Electric Co unveiled on Wednesday a new generation of power plant that it said could ramp its production up and down quickly to offset changes in production from electricity-producing wind turbines and solar panels.
The largest U.S. conglomerate, which is the world's largest maker of electric turbines and also produces solar panels, said it had invested more than $500 million in developing the product, which utility operators could use a balance to offset fluctuations in the grid.
