New Update

SAN JOSE, USA: GCT Semiconductor announced that its Verizon-certified 4G LTE single-chip powers the new 4G LTE Ellipsis JetPack from Verizon Wireless. This new mobile device is the world's first 4G LTE single-mode hotspot.

"We continue to build upon our close relationship with Verizon as we launch this new LTE-only hotspot," said Alex Sum, VP of sales and marketing at GCT Semiconductor. "LTE single-mode is the ideal choice for devices like this one that are delivering wireless data such as tablets and laptops. For device makers the real advantage is that LTE single-mode reduces design complexity, cost and size; therefore accelerating time-to-market and also simplifying the certification process with operators."

GCT continues to expand its 4G leadership position by offering next-generation FDD and TDD LTE solutions, as well as multi-mode LTE/3G/2G. With GCT solutions' small form factor, low cost and high performance, GCT has been selected by over 40 of the leading ODMs worldwide, and has launched over 15 commercial LTE devices for smartphones, ultrabooks, tablets, mobile hotspots, gateways, USB dongles and M2M in North America, Europe and Asia.
