Fusionstor enters Indian storage market

MUMBAI, INDIA: US-based Fusionstor Technologies has set-up its Indian operations to tap the emerging storage market.

The company provides storage solutions in external storage area networks (SAN), Ethernet-based iSCSI SAN (IP SAN), network attached storage (NAS), and the software that extends storage functionality with value.

Amit Kumar, CEO, Fusionstor Technologies said, “We are targeting large, mid-size corporates, and the SME segment—by delivering reliable, easy-to-use, and economical storage solutions. We are looking for providing value-based storage solutions that caters to organizations of different sizes to manage, protect and access their data easily.”

In India, Fusionstor is headquartered in Mumbai and will be expanding operation across the country. Given the potential of India as one of the growing emerging storage markets in the world, the company is also setting up an R&D center and proof of concept (POC) center with India centric focus.

Market estimates for the storage solutions in India is said to be in the region of about $300 million, and the demand for storage solutions is constantly growing across different organizations. 

Fusionstor offers products and solutions catering to enterprise's need in fast-growing, mixed file and database storage volumes, distributed storage infrastructure, data center disaster recovery planning, data protection and availability involving multiple locations for focusing on unified storage solutions.

Fusionstor plans to partner with end-customers by way of marketing programs, technical training, and pre and post-sales support. To expand its presence in the country, Fusionstor plans to appoint value added partners through an initiative titled Fusionstor partner booster program (FPBP).
